Please Note:

We regret that we are unable to accept any more animals into this rescue program at this time. Please do not ask our adoption counselors to take in any animals during adoption events. They are not authorized to intake any pets and they do not have the time nor the facilities to care for additional animals. As a resource, please call 480-898-pets or 1-888-pets911 or visit www.1888pets911.com for information and referral.

Due to extreme weather conditions in Phoenix during the summer, and in other parts of the country in the winter, we do not ship animals out of the greater Phoenix area at any time. We adopt to families in the east valley cities of the greater Phoenix area. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis, if we have Adoption Counselors in that area to perform the adoptions. Petfinder provides us with the sites to show our animals online. We do not have any control over their search engines that may show our animals outside of this area.

WHO WE ARE

We are a private organization dedicated to finding suitable homes for homeless, abused and unwanted cats. We carry out our mission through caring for these cats in foster homes until they can be placed in permanent loving homes and educating the public about responsible pet care.

ADOPTION PACKAGE

CatsMeow - Voice for the Cats offers a comprehensive adoption package*.
Adoption fees include:

Sterilization (spay or neuter)
Age-appropriate vaccinations
A medical check-up
Testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV **
New intakes are now being Microchipped! ***
Temperament Assessment
Fecal check
Treatment of common medical conditions
General grooming
Informational handouts on pet health and behavior
Trained adoption counselors to help you find the right animal.

*Services rendered depend on the specific needs of each animal.
**Feline Leukemia/FIV testing may be done just on the mother of a litter of nursing kittens, or on one or two kittens in a litter.
***New cats and kittens coming into our organization are now being microchipped when they are spayed or neutered. There were some cats in foster homes that were altered before the microchipping program was initiated and are not currently chipped. These pets can be microchipped upon adoption for an additional fee of $40.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AVAILABLE

CatsMeow - Voice for the Cats offers the following additional services to care for your pet. For details, please inquire during the adoption process:

Microchipping
Microchipping implantation and registration is offered (as available) at the time of adoption for a reduced fee. The microchip is a tiny computer chip, about the size or a grain of rice, that is implanted between the shoulder blades of your animal. The implantation is generally done at the time of sterilization. If your dog or cat gets loose and is turned in to any animal shelter, animal control facility or police station, a scan will be done. The information from the microchip will show your information and your animal will be returned to you.

SPECIAL PET OF THE MONTH

Scotty Male, less than one year old
Orange Tabby DMH mix

(Click pet's name to view their web page or complete an application.)

Scotty is a cute little guy, born sometime in May, 2007. He's busy and playful, friendly and affectionate. He's good with other kittens, but they should be at least as big as he is since he likes to play-wrestle and chase. He's already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He also tested negative for FeLeuk/FIV. He's a really friendly guy, sweet and loving, and gets along with other cats just fine. He's just a few months old and ready for a new home.

Call today to meet this sweetest boy. If you would like information on adopting this wonderful kitty, please email us at adoptacat@cats-meow.org or phone 480-380-2124 today.

About our "COURTESY POSTING" Kitties!
We sometimes post pets for individuals who have rescued a dog or cat or litter of kittens. In return for the posting, they have to agree to have the animal spayed/neutered before adopting it to a new home. They ask for an adoption donation to help offset the cost of veterinary care and altering those animals in their care. The amount they request may vary from the adoption fees listed above. In many cases, the cost of caring for these rescued pets is much more than the small donation they may request as many animals are sick or injured when found. They also welcome donations of food and litter to help offset their costs of caring for rescued pets.
